Management Peter Shepard, Exective Director, Trustee
Mr. Shepard is the Executive Director and Trustee of Constellation and is responsible for the overall operations of the fund. He also serves an Investment Portfolio Manager with Mustang Capital Partners, a private investment fund focused on venture capital and private equity investments in the secondary market. Formerly, Mr. Shepard held the position Vice President with Constellation. While with Constellation he also assumed the role of Acting CFO of Seattle-based, eProject. There he helped implement the successful turnaround and recapitalization of that project management software company. Previously, he founded and hosted the CIO Forum, a semi-annual meeting of CIOs and CTOs from the REIT industry. Prior to Constellation, he co-launched the e-Commerce Investments Group at GE Capital, a venture capital fund jointly sponsored by GE Capital Real Estate and GE Equity. Earlier in his career he was engaged in investing over $150 million in real estate debt and equity while with GE Capital Real Estate, AMRESCO, Inc., and Boston Financial Group.
Mr. Shepard has formerly served on the Board of Directors of eProject, Accruent (Observer), and Constellation and on the Advisory Committee to Atlanta-based Prosero. He is currently a Director of ePropertyTax, as well as of two Denver-based non-profits, Social Venture Partners, a donor advised fund of the Denver Foundation, and YouthBiz, an award winning and nationally recognized youth program, where he is Vice-Chairman and Chairman-elect.
Mr. Shepard has a Masters in Real Estate Development from MIT, a J.D. from Cornell Law School, and a B.A. from New York University. Mr. Shepard’s thesis, “Capturing Real Estate’s Share of 401(k) Capital” was published in Real Estate Review and he is admitted to the New York and Massachusetts State Bars.
