Management Peter Shepard, Exective Director, Trustee
Mr. Shepard is the Trustee and former Executive Director of Constellation. Currently, he is Managing Director of Athena Business Solutions, LLC. Peter is the former President & CEO of CapTerra Financial Group, Inc., an early stage company, and former turnaround, in the commercial real estate finance sector. Previously, he was CFO of GDBA Investments, CapTerra's controlling shareholder, where he worked with a variety of early stage, venture capital and private equity portfolio companies. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President & CFO of Millennium Venture Group, a PE-backed, early stage development company. Formerly, he was Executive Director of Constellation Real Technologies, a venture capital fund where he worked with numerous early stage companies in the software and business services sectors and, as Acting CFO, helped execute the turnaround of an enterprise software company. Concurrently, he served as Investment Portfolio Manager with Mustang Capital Partners, a private investment fund focused on venture capital and private equity investments in the secondary market. Earlier in his career he originated debt and private equity while with GE Capital Real Estate and AMRESCO. Peter received a BA from New York University, a JD from Cornell Law School, and a Masters in Real Estate Development from MIT.
Peter is a former Board Director of CapTerra Financial Group, Inc. (CPTA.OB), Constellation Real Technologies, LLC, ePropertyTax, Inc. (Thomson Reuters), Accruent, Inc. (Observer), and eProject, Inc. (Daptiv). He is a former Advisory Board Member of Prosero, Inc. (Spinnaker Management). In the non-for-profit sector he is a former Director and Chairman of YouthBiz, Inc. and Director of Social Venture Partners Denver.
